Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join our rehabilitation team. You will assess patients, design personalized therapy plans, and work with physicians to restore mobility and function as part of a patient-centered care approach.

You will deliver evidence-based treatments, monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families on home programs and safe practices.

Qualifications

• State Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist, you play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll assess each patient’s needs and create personalized therapy plans designed around meaningful goals, active engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes. Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

• State Licensed Physical Therapist
• Bachelors Degree (minimum)
