Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a PRN Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our patient-focused team. You will assess patients, design individualized therapy plans with physicians, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility and reduce pain.

You will monitor progress, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive care while mentoring therapy assistants and students in line with our values of

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.

Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team

• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
