Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength and mobility after illness, injury, or surgery. You will assess needs, create personalized plans, and work with physicians to achieve meaningful goals and outcomes.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families on safe exercise programs. You’ll contribute to a patient-centered care environment and mentor therapy staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida state license as Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in physical therapy or related field.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes timely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs and safe practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding values of excellence and integrity.

Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team

What qualifications you will need:
