Job summary

Winter Garden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Florida is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting.

You will diagnose, plan individualized treatments, and educate patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A Doctorate/Master's in PT and NPTE licensure are required, along with a valid Florida PT license.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of licensure requirements in Florida (PT).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients’ medical histories and diagnoses.
• Developing individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Using exercises and therapies to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Educating patients and families about recovery and care plans.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Job Duties:

• Reviewing patients’ medical histories
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients
• Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Educating patients and family members about the recovery process

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good decision making and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Successful completion of National Certification Examination
• Valid PT license in state of practice
