Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, plan discharges, and educate patients under physician orders.

Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Services, you will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, administer therapy, educate on home programs, document progress, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Hospital, orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current North Carolina Physical Therapist License; BLS required.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, documentation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations including strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration and motor function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and modalities.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.

Job Description
