The NeuroRecovery Research Center at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital is seeking a highly motivated therapist to contribute to ongoing projects. The research center is part of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Texas – Medical School at Houston. Provides professional, educational, and clinical skills in organizing and directing physical therapy services and administering treatment programs.
The ideal candidate may possess a professional degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Clinical experience working with patients with neurological impairments is preferred. While research experience is preferred, it is not required. Experience in motion capture, EMG, and coding is desired.
The role may conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' physical and functional abilities and deliver therapy in accordance with research protocols. Additional responsibilities may include:
