Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, MO is seeking a Physical Therapist on a per diem basis. You will evaluate adult and geriatric patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the Therapy Leadership to ensure high-quality care.

You will supervise patients directly and rehab technicians indirectly, with PT assistants under state practice acts. A Bachelor/MS/DPt and a current PT license plus BLS are required; six months to one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, MS in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certification current before caring for patients independently.
• Preferred experience: Six months to one year in Rehabilitation Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Schedule

Schedule: Per Diem - minimum of one Saturday/month; one holiday per year and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
