Job summary

Regency Hospital Company in Sylvania, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for Per Diem / Coverage As Needed. Compensation is $52.00 per hour.

The PT will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, supervise PT/PTA staff, participate in discharge planning, and contribute to ongoing education. This role offers orientation and potential advancement to full-time opportunities, with benefits eligibility after meeting hours.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to pick up shifts at both Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement.
  • Teaching and counseling patients/families.
  • Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
  • Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
  • Participating in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
  • Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students.
  • Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
  • Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions, as needed.
  • Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
