Job summary

Regency Hospital Company in Sylvania, OH is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide per diem coverage as needed. You will work under an OT, conduct individual therapy sessions for patients with complex needs, monitor responses, and document progress in accordance with department policies.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, ongoing documentation, and active participation in continuing education seminars.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

• This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.
