Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Therapy team within the Rehab Therapy Department. The role covers inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on evaluating and treating patients per physician referrals.

The position is pool/per diem, with at least two weekends per month and two holidays per year, requiring strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced hospital setting in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in PA; BCLS certification required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and implement treatment across inpatient and outpatient therapy as needed.
• Deliver care per physician referral under supervision of Senior Therapist/Team Lead Therapist.
• Assist in supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, students, aides and volunteers.
• Follow hospital and department policies including infection control and scheduling.

Employment type: pool/per diem

The Physical Therapist performs evaluations and implements treatment in all levels of primarily outpatient therapy (inpatient therapy care as needed). Delivers care in accordance with patient practice guidelines upon physician referral and under the supervision of the Senior Therapist/Team Lead Therapist.

Adheres to all hospital and department policies including but not limited to: infection control, performance improvement, billing procedures and scheduling. Assists in the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, students, aides and volunteers.

Performs evaluations and implements treatment in all levels of care in inpatient therapy (acute care, ARU, and/or TCU). Delivers care in accordance with patient practice guidelines upon physician referral.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Master's degree or Doctorate preferred.
• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of PA. BCLS certification required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills.
• Experience preferred.
