Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks a part-time Physical Therapy Aide to support our Inpatient Rehab Therapy team. The schedule is day shift, with 7.5-hour shifts and weekend coverage required, plus two weekend shifts per month and two holidays per year.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent preferred.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities as prescribed by licensed therapists or therapy assistants.
• Prepare and clean patient care areas and maintain a safe, organized treatment environment.
• Perform clerical duties, assist with billing and stock of therapy items as assigned.
• Transport patients and carry out duties assigned by the Team Lead or Senior Therapist.

The therapy aide assists with patient related activities which are predetermined and assigned for each patient by the licensed therapist or licensed therapy assistant. The aide main duties included but are not limited to: preparation and clean up of patient care areas, maintaining a safe work environment, clerical duties as assigned, billing as assigned, stock of therapy items, transportation of patients and all duties assigned to them by Team Lead, Senior Therapist, Staff Therapist or Therapy Assistant in accordance with PA Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy State Practice acts.

PRN Aide may be asked to provide coverage for all inpatient areas (TCU, ARU, Acute care) depending on where needs are the day of their shift.

Education And Training

• HS graduate or equivalent preferred.
