Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join the Inpatient Therapy team in Philadelphia, PA. This part-time/per diem position offers day shifts with weekend and holiday coverage requirements.

The aide assists with patient care activities under supervision, including prep/cleanup, clerical tasks, and patient transportation. Requirements include HS diploma and BCLS certification; prior hospital experience preferred.

• Availability to provide coverage during weekdays and weekends per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient-related activities as assigned by licensed therapist or therapy assistant.
• Prepares and cleans patient care areas and maintains a safe work environment.
• Performs clerical duties and may assist with billing and stocking therapy items.
• Transports patients as needed and follows direction from Therapy leads.

Job Title:Physical Therapy Aide

Employment Type:Per Diem

Shift:Days - 7.5 hr shifts Both weekend and weekday coverage needed Minimum of two weekend shifts per month (7.5 hr shift) and two holidays per year. Both weekday and weekend availability preferred.
Location: Philadelphia, PA

The therapy aide assists with patient related activities which are predetermined and assigned for each patient by the licensed therapist or licensed therapy assistant. The aide main duties included but are not limited to: preparation and clean up of patient care areas, maintaining a safe work environment, clerical duties as assigned, billing as assigned, stock of therapy items, transportation of patients and all duties assigned to them by Team Lead, Senior Therapist, Staff Therapist or Therapy Assistant in accordance with PA Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy State Practice acts.

PRN Aide may be asked to provide coverage for all inpatient areas (TCU, ARU, Acute care) depending on where needs are the day of their shift.

Education and Training:

HS graduate or equivalent preferred.

BCLS certification required

Requirements:

Ability to carry out specific instructions, perform diverse duties.

Previous hospital/therapy experience preferred.

Availability to provide coverage during weekdays as needed and weekends as per weekend coverage policy.

Minimum requirements for this position include two weekend shifts per month and two holidays per year.
