Summary

The Home Care Pediatric PT supports MaineHealth Care at Home's (MHCAH) mission, vision, and values by exhibiting behaviors such as excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, commitment to community, and accountability. In accordance with national standards of practice, and within the policies and procedures of both MHCAH and the Maine State Board of Licensure, the Home Care PT provides reliable, evidence-based, patient-family-centered quality care through assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of care effects.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  2. License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as a Physical Therapist. Valid driver's license with vehicle for work, covered by liability insurance as per agency policy. Current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers.
  3. Experience: Minimum one year of full-time equivalent experience in a supervised setting.
  4. Interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  5. Analytical ability: Sufficient to identify changes in patients' conditions and initiate appropriate action.
