Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, selecting appropriate therapies to improve or restore function. The position may require cross-site coverage within the Greater Manchester Region.

You will join an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document charges in accordance with guidelines. Some travel between Hartford HealthCare sites is expected as part of essential duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy with a minimum of a B.S.
• Must hold a current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients based on departmental standard.
• Conducts and modifies evaluations based on the patient\'s symptoms, level of activity, and medical status, establishing goals.
• Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic exercises (strength, endurance, coordination, ROM).
• Administers physical agents (modalities) and manual therapy to relieve pain and reach goals.
• Educates patients/families in home exercise programs and functional activities.
• Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies.
