Job summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Physical Therapist for a beautiful Assisted Living community in Washington, DC. You will evaluate and treat residents to improve independence, safety, and functional mobility.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled PT services, monitor progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including supervising PTAs as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • DPT degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid PT license or license eligibility in DC.
  • Strong clinical assessment and ability to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop plans of care.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs).
  • Participate in or lead team development meetings.
  • Lead or participate in wellness programs and events in the community.

Description

Vertis Therapy is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Physical Therapist and a Physical Therapist PRN to join our team at a beautiful Assisted Living community in Washington, DC. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, and functional mobility.

The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled physical therapy services, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The PT will also provide guidance and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Resident Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's safety, functional mobility, and overall independence.
  • Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
  • Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist state license or license eligibility.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
  • Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
