Job summary

The Cerebral Palsy League Inc is seeking a qualified School Physical Therapist to deliver therapy per IEPs in our educational settings in New Jersey. The role requires active NJ certification and licensure, with experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Direct Service Team and families to achieve individualized goals. You will perform assessments, compile progress reports, and provide instruction to the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• NJ Department of Education Certification as a School Physical Therapist.
• NJ License as Physical Therapist.
• Experience in providing physical therapy to persons with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and safeguard each family/student’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
• Perform assessments and reports as requested.
• Assist in the formulation of goals and objectives with the Direct Service Team as assigned.
• Implement Physical Therapy Goals and objectives as written in the IEP.
• Prepare daily notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews and summaries and all other required documentation.
• Provide instruction to interdisciplinary team and family concerning appropriate techniques of physical therapy.
• Assist in the orientation of new employees.
• Provide updates, assessments and reports as required.
• Attend meetings to provide updates, reports, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, directions and changes as it relates to the delivery of physical therapy services.
• Participate in in-service programs as requested.
• Perform additional related duties as requested by the Principal.

Must be able to do frequent bending, kneeling and sitting.
