  • Monday-Friday 9am-1pm OR Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-3pm
  • Pay Range: $60-$90 Hourly
Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in supporting students with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will evaluate students’ physical and motor needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and provide services that promote mobility, independence, and participation in the educational environment. Working collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members, you will help students achieve their educational and functional goals while fostering their overall growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting with individuals that have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and safeguard each family/student’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
  • Perform assessments and reports as requested.
  • Implement Physical Therapy Goals and objectives as written in the IEP.
  • Prepare daily notes, quarterly progress reports, and summaries and all other required documentation.
  • Provide updates, assessments and reports as required.
  • Attend meetings to provide updates, reports, etc.
Qualifications
  • NJ Department of Education Certification as a School Physical Therapist
  • NJ License as Physical Therapist
  • Experience in providing physical therapy to persons with developmental disabilities
Employment Requirements
  • Successful completion of background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and able to assist in a two-person lift of a child and/or adult. Must be able to do frequent bending, kneeling and sitting. Must be able to stand for multiple hours at a time.
