Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Physical Therapist to plan, direct and perform evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the needs of each patient. Care plans promote restoration of function, skin integrity, muscle strength, endurance, and pain management, with patient and family education.

• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, PT/PTA students, and volunteers; participate in scheduling patient treatments and multidisciplinary care planning.
• Coordinate treatment schedules and support other areas of service beyond the home department.
• Educate patients and families about rehabilitation principles and home exercise programs.

Job Summary

Care plans shall be developed that promote restoration of function, restoration and maintenance of skin integrity, improvement in muscle strength, increase of endurance, education of the patient and their families about rehabilitation principles, the prevention of deformities through exercise and positioning programs and/or pain management.
