Overview

Physical Therapist Full Time Days Primarily Acute Care at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and perform physical therapy evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the needs of each patient.
• Develop care plans that promote restoration of function, maintenance of skin integrity, improvement in muscle strength, increase of endurance, education of patients and families about rehabilitation principles, prevention of deformities through exercise and positioning programs, and pain management.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students, and volunteers.
• Participate in scheduling patient treatments, multidisciplinary care planning, patient education, and team support of other areas of service besides the assigned home department.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved physical therapy program
• Required Certification: BCLS within 3 months of date of hire
• Required Licensure: Texas Physical Therapy License or temporary license; permanent license obtained by 6 months after date of hire
