A leading healthcare provider in Shreveport is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join their outpatient team. The role involves evaluating patients, creating care plans, and collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a valid Louisiana license and preferably dry needling certification. This position offers a competitive benefits package including health coverage and a 401K plan.
Position Overview
This position is for a licensed, full-time Physical Therapist that is looking to join our team providing outpatient services to the Shreveport area. Specialists Hospital Shreveport offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of clinicians dedicated to providing quality care for our patients. Our caseload is primarily orthopedic seeing both chronic and acute conditions as well as providing post-operative care to the spine and extremities. Dry needling certification is preferred.
Essential Job Functions
· Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes appropriate plans of care, and effectively implements treatments to restore patient to maximum function
· Collaborates well with designated team of PTAs and supervises PT technicians to provide best quality of care for patient
· Maintains accurate paper and electronic record of documentation of services rendered per hospital and state guidelines
· Cultivates relationships with referring physicians and communicates as necessary regarding patient care
· Creates and maintains good patient-therapist rapport to ensure successful therapy experience
· Assists in on-call weekend coverage for inpatient floor (up to 2 weekends per quarter)
Requirements
· Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy
· Licensed to practice physical therapy in Louisiana
· Dry needling certification is preferred
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED)
