Job summary

IU Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a Flat Rate PRN role at Methodist Hospital. You will deliver direct patient care to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability, while supervising PT assistants, support staff, and students.

The ideal candidate holds a Doctoral Degree (or Bachelor’s/Master’s completed before 2016), an Indiana PT license, and BLS certification. Advanced life support may be required per unit policy.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's/Master's in Physical Therapy prior to 2016
• Current Physical Therapist license in Indiana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.

Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
