Responsibilities include developing measurable goals, adjusting plans to patient response, and coordinating care with caregivers and the broader medical team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluations, treatments and education to patients/families within an interdisciplinary environment.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment; keeps work area clean.
• Communicates regularly with the patient care team, patient and family involved in patient care.
• Assesses patients and identifies problems; plans, develops and implements measurable treatment plans.
• Instructs and trains patients and family regarding relevant aspects of care; modifies plans based on patient response.
• Plans treatment schedules to optimize staff and equipment use; provides direct patient care and specialized treatments.
• Follows protocols to document patient program details and records daily charges; adheres to infection control standards.

Education

Graduation from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the APTA

Georgia licensure as a Physical Therapist

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
