Job summary

Mercy Lebanon in Missouri is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients, developing individualized plans under Therapy Leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role offering opportunities to supervise rehabilitation staff in accordance with state practice acts.

Candidates should have a PT degree (BPT/MSPT/PhD) and an active license, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as applicable.

• Work under the supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. MINIMUM Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure:

Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Preferred Experience:

Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Certifications:

BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
