Qualifications

• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in NJ.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops goals, implements therapy plans and documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects modalities suited to patient needs and diagnosis.
• Collaborates with rehab team to choose appropriate therapies.
• Instructs residents in mobility skills and monitors progress.
• Adapts programs to individual resident needs.
• Maintains safety in the environment and reduces hazards.
• Attends care conferences and contributes to related meetings.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Carries out training with staff in physical therapy techniques.
• Orders supplies and maintains equipment as needed.
