Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Wayne, New Jersey. The position offers a pay rate of $35–$40 per hour and full-time, part-time, or per diem options with a comprehensive benefits package.

Under supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement PT programs, deliver treatments, and support residents toward greater independence and functional improvement in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program (A PTA program).
• Licensed as required by the State.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident's individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in PT treatment techniques under supervision
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities per resident needs
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all residents treated
• Participates in resident care and staff meetings as a PT representative
• Cleans, maintains, and reports on equipment and needs for repair
• Ensures highest quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
