Job summary

Avalon Rehabilitation & Care Center in Wayne, NJ is hiring a Full-time Physical Therapist to join our care team. We deliver high-quality care for residents and strive for exceptional satisfaction.

You will conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to restore functional skills. The role requires a Physical Therapy degree, NB Certification, and preferred experience in long-term care; Wayne residency is required to work at our facility.

Qualifications

• A degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Certified by the National Board for Certification is required.
• Experience in long-term-care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
• Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
• Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
• Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
• Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.

Education

A degree in Physical Therapy

National Board Certification

Experience in Long-term-care preferred
