The role involves initial and ongoing patient assessments, providing skilled therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care across inpatient, outpatient, and pediatrics as part of the care continuum. Responsibilities include evaluating and updating treatment plans, delivering daily therapy, documenting progress in the EMR, and maintaining compliance with department standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet qualifications for traineeship or temporary license.
• BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days for certain Mercy Health sites)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops individual treatment plans with goals.
• Delivers direct therapy daily and educates patients and families.
• Maintains accurate treatment records and progress notes in EMR.
• Maintains productivity while ensuring quality of care.
• Upholds safety, infection control, and policy compliance.
• Supervises PTA treatment interventions and supports professional growth.
