Job summary

Job Description

The Physical Therapist II functions independently and consistently in the delivery of quality care to patients requiring physical therapy in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, department policies and procedures, and standards of practice. The role evaluates patients, plans and implements treatment programs, and documents all treatments accurately. The PT works in conjunction with other members of the health care team to ensure patient needs are met, educates patients and families, and provides care to patients of varying ages with age‑related needs.

  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles and procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem‑solving ability to determine the best methods to address patient problems.
Experience
  • Two years of Physical Therapy experience required.
  • Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
Education And Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, or equivalent education if trained outside of the U.S. required.
  • Completion of an appropriate Clinical Instructor (CI) course; or completion within three months of hire.
  • Completion of the National Databases of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) Pressure Treatment Training; or completion within three months of hire.
