Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Therapy; graduates eligible for licensure will be considered upon hire.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in TX upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support – CPR, within 14 days.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update plans of care with patient/family, with measurable goals and discharge plan.
  • Perform age-appropriate competency skills and adjust plan of care as needed; discharge when goals met.
  • Meet patient care productivity standards and work with supervisors/peers for team productivity.
  • Promote professional customer service; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
  • Provide feedback to improve operations; complete documentation including charting, charge entry, and daily schedule.
  • Utilize information systems to support department goals and access patient-care information.

Job Summary

As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and update appropriate plans of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to their age and lifestyle with measurable long‑ and short‑term goals and a defined discharge plan; understand the role of physical therapy in the context of the patient’s age, total needs perspective, and environment.
  • Perform age‑appropriate competency skills in the area of practice and with respect to individual patient problems. Follow intervention protocols and alter the plan of care appropriately. Discharge patient when goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Establish provisions and/or make recommendations.
  • Consistently meet patient care productivity standards as established for the job classification. Work cooperatively with supervisors and peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team. Utilize support personnel as appropriate and available. Actively support and participate in patient coverage efforts across all divisions within the department as necessary.
  • Promote and support positive and professional customer service while interacting with clients, guests, and hospital personnel. Work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments, and disciplines to assure patients and customers’ needs are met in a timely manner. Encourage the active participation of the patient and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education.
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to enhance departmental operations. Complete all necessary documentation as outlined by departmental policy and documentation review. This includes, but is not limited to, patient care charting, charge entry, completing peer chart and peer reviews, and documenting on the daily schedule.
  • Utilize available information management systems to support departmental and hospital goals. This includes utilization of hospital‑wide e‑mail, information announcements, policies, annual computer mandatory training, charge entry, and accessing patient‑care related information. Access and use of information will meet hospital and information management guidelines.

Pay Range

$39.08 - $58.14 /hour
