The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy has an exciting opportunity for a full time Physical Therapist I to work in Kendall, FL. The PT I provides physical therapy and wellness services to patients with impairments or functional changes due to injury or disease, helping them restore function, mobility, and reduce pain.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
• No previous experience required.
• Valid State of Florida Physical Therapist license is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new patients, establishes goals, and develops treatment plans.
• Documents all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions daily.
• Educates patients and families regarding medical conditions and home activities.
• Communicates with physicians to obtain information and suggest revisions in treatment.
• Utilizes treatment tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintains productivity and adapts schedule for clinic needs.
• Participates in quality and safety improvement activities.
• Orients and directs assistants and support staff.
• Completes comprehensive, timely documentation meeting standards.
