Core Job Functions

• Perform evaluations of new patients to establish goals and treatment plans.

• Participate in quality and safety improvement activities.
• Orient, instruct, and direct work activities for assistants and support personnel.
• Supervise and instruct physical therapy students per professional guidelines.
• Participate in educational programs for staff, patients, and the community.
• Represent the University at non‑departmental conferences and seminars.
• Adhere to University and unit‑level policies, procedures, and safeguard assets.

Core Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field (physical therapy).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid State of Florida Physical Therapist license.

Department‑Specific Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in physical therapy.
• Certification and licensing: licensure in physical therapy; board certification or specialty certification through ABPTS or approved program.
• Experience: minimum 2 years with board certification, 4 years without board certification.
• Certification as a Clinical Instructor (CI) – 320 hours of instruction.
• Continuing professional development – fulfillment of 3 professional development/engagement activities from the Clinical ladder Checklist.
