Job summary

Atlantic Health’s Morristown Medical Center seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Surgical Recovery Unit, focusing on orthopedic patients. You’ll work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where your clinical expertise is valued and ongoing professional growth is supported.

The role covers assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary team, with opportunities for continued education and access to state-of-the-art equipment

Responsibilities

• Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis.
• Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise.
• Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and more.
• Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintains proper documentation.
• Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly.
• Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and ongoing need for treatment.
• Works with other professionals in an effective manner.
• Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
