The Physical Therapist I provides physical therapy services to individuals and their families in a team relationship with other health care providers in a setting that is designated by the department.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Graduation from an accredited physical therapy school.
2. Minimum of 0 - 2 years' experience.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1. Specific only to the Physical Therapist I in the Pediatric/Institute for Child Development (ICD), a minimum of 2 or more years of previous pediatric experience, preferably in a medical and or possibly outpatient pediatric clinical or school setting. A strong pediatric clinical affiliation will also be considered.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. Physical Therapist License.

Working Conditions:

1. Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
