Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist for home health in the West Liberty area. The role involves providing rehabilitative care to elderly patients, evaluating function, and guiding family members in therapy activities.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in physical therapy, a current Ohio license, CPR certification, and at least two years of PT experience, preferably in home health. Travel within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s in physical therapy.
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapist experience; home health preferred.
• Current Ohio license as a Physical Therapist; valid driver’s license and CPR certification.
• Complete a minimum of twelve hours of in-services per year.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical therapy services to patients per plan of care.
• Assess muscle strength, mobility, gait, ROM, and transfer capabilities.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in use and care of therapies.
• Report reactions to treatment to the physician as needed.
• Initiate therapy programs and educate other personnel and families.
• Supervise the PTA as necessary.
• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement programs.
• Coordinate with the home care team for coordinated care and proper notes.
