Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist (PT, DPT, RPT) in Home Health is responsible for assessing and evaluating patient needs related to functional status, mobility, endurance, pain, and other medical conditions. Based on this, the therapist develops treatment plans, performs interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitors progress.

• Evaluate patients' functional status and therapy needs, assisting in developing the plan of care with physicians.
• Observe and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore or maintain function, following accepted standards of practice.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members about the care plan, limitations, and progress.

Education and Experience

Licensure Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy license in Alabama
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
