Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to provide objective patient assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients. The role includes supervision of patients and rehabilitation staff, in alignment with Mercy standards.

Education must include a PT degree (Bachelors/Masters or DPT) with current state licensure. BLS certification is required, and 6–12 months of preferred rehab experience in adult/geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Current/Temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Current certifications required before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred in rehabilitation.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and supervision of PT assistants as per State Practice Acts.
