Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to assess and plan individualized treatment for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership. The role includes direct supervision of patients, supervising rehab technicians, and overseeing PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts.

Applicants should have a PT degree (BS, MS, or DPT) and a current PT license in the practice state, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; prefer experience with adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
