Job summary

Big Stone Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Florida, with assignments in Brevard, Orange, and Osceola counties. Home health setting, 35-hour weekly guarantee, and a flexible schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with no weekends or on-call.

The role requires graduation from an approved PT program, active state licensure (or in training), CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Valid state PT licensure (or currently in a PT educational program).
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Aides per state/federal regulations.
• Evaluate patients, review medical history, and diagnose movement dysfunction.
• Develop and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Teach therapeutic exercises and provide hands-on techniques to support healing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient progress records.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and recovery expectations.
• Perform administrative tasks including reports, communication, and HIPAA documentation.
