Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and design comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients and assist in supervising rehab technicians and PT assistants, following Mercy Service Standards.

Education required includes a Bachelor, MS in Physical Therapy, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and current/temporary licensure in the state.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy (BS/MS/DPT) required.
• Current or temporary licensure as a Physical Therapist in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required; certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year of rehab/PT experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants as per state practice acts.
• Align care with Mercy policies, missions, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
