Job summary

Mercy seeks a Physical Therapist to assess and design individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients. The role includes supervising patients and rehab staff, while ensuring all duties meet state practice acts and Mercy standards. A PT license and BLS certification are required, with 6–12 months rehab experience preferred.

• Education: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in practice state.
• Certifications: BLS certified, current before independent patient care.
• Preferred experience: 6 months to 1 year in rehabilitation, caring for adult and geriatric patients.
• Physical requirements: Lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and kneel, bend, reach.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients, and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as applicable.
