Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - Tucson is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our full-time team. You will conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• State Licensure as Physical Therapist (PT) is required.
• Certified BLS is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning and patient education.
• Supervising PTAs and PT/PTA students.
• Documenting therapy sessions according to department policies.

• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Minimum Qualifications

• State Licensure: Hold a current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Certified BLS: Possess Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
