Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation seeks a Physical Therapist to assist patients in maximizing physical function. The role involves interpreting PT evaluations, setting goals, and guiding treatments with assistive devices.

Licensure is required with DPT preferred; prior to 2016 a bachelor’s or master’s in PT may be acceptable. Onsite work at 101 Main Street, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• For licensure prior to 2016, a bachelor’s or master’s degree is acceptable; licensure from 2016 onward requires completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
• participates in Hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
