Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state (Massachusetts) or eligibility.
• Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program 1-2 years preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment and adjusts plans.
• Performs patient assessment and plans care.
• Provides in-service education for nursing staff as needed.
• Documents goals, progress, and reevaluation plans.
• Communicates evaluation, goals, and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital quality process improvement.
• Supervises PTAs per policy and state regulations.
