Pay or shift range: $38 USD to $47.50 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Description

As a Physical Therapist with Wabash General’s outpatient team, you will:

  • Assess & Diagnose: Conduct comprehensive orthopaedic and musculoskeletal evaluations to identify movement dysfunction, pain generators, and functional limitations.
  • Design & Deliver: Craft individualized treatment plans—leveraging manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, soft‑tissue mobilization, and patient education—to accelerate recovery and optimize wellness.
  • Restore & Prevent: Guide patients through interventions that restore mobility, maintain strength and fitness, and minimize risk of reinjury or chronic disability.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with other PTs & PTAs, rehab techs, physicians, and interdisciplinary colleagues; document progress clearly and educate patients and families every step of the way.
  • Champion Community Health: Lead outreach efforts, wellness screenings, and educational workshops to raise awareness of our outpatient services and preventive care strategies.

Will rotate weekends and holidays. Approximately 1 weekend every 6 weeks. 1‑2 holidays per year.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in good standing by the state of Illinois as a physical therapist, graduated from an APTA approved curriculum.
  • Cognitive and motor skills necessary to carry out skilled therapy evaluations, treatments, and documentation according to the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act, APTA Core Values, and the Joint Commission.
  • CPR certified. Must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as defined in the job description and physical activities summary.
  • Position requires continual physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases.
