Job summary

AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital - Covington is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for all shifts to provide timely physical therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and per physician orders. The PTA helps develop and execute treatment plans and participates in patient care to restore function and mobility.

The role requires Louisiana PTA licensure, current BLS certification, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current Louisiana Physical Therapy Assistant License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in Observation Levels as indicated by patient behavior and risk of injury to patient and/or others.
• Communicates changes in patient behavior or safety to charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy interventions under a plan of care.
• Collaborates with Physical Therapist to develop treatment programs for patients.
• Assists in assessing patient progress and documents outcomes.
• Supports coverage across all shifts to meet patient care needs.
