Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient care at our West Houston facility. You will work under a licensed PT, treat patients, and document treatments in the medical record.

The role involves collaboration with the rehab team and participation in conferences and in-service trainings. Qualified candidates will have PTA program graduation, a current license, and strong communication skills to engage with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license in practicing state.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients' family members, and staff.
• Must be capable of performing the Responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients as directed by the physical therapist.
• Records treatments given in medical record.
• Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
• Participates in facility in-service training programs.
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state Physical Therapy rules.
