Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our Solera at West Houston team in Houston, TX. This PRN role supports the licensed OT by treating patients, recording progress, and participating in weekly rehab meetings.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited OTA program graduate, current state license, and strong communication skills to collaborate with therapists, staff, and patients’ families in a dynamic post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license in practicing state.
• Strong communication skills and ability to relate professionally to patients, families and staff.
• Capable of performing responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Records treatments given in medical record.
• Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participates in facility in-service training programs.
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state OT rules.

• Participates in facility in-service training programs
