Job summary

Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN to provide therapeutic services across Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Home Support settings under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate will have a Maryland license in Physical Therapy, experience with seniors, and a commitment to improving mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland license in Physical Therapy is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to residents across Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Home Support.
• Follow Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies to ensure compliance in care provision, documentation, billing, and resident rights.
• Implement residents' care plans focusing on strengths and preferences, while providing comfort and belonging.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to address residents' needs throughout the continuum of care.

Join our team Rehab team as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN!

Our Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provide physical therapy services to residents in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Home Support settings under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. This role focuses on helping residents improve mobility, function, and independence while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

The Ideal candidates have experience in senior living, skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, home health, or other geriatric care settings, along with a commitment to quality patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.

Compensation: $45 per hour

How you will make an impact

• Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs


• Providing day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to meet resident's needs in all settings across the Erickson Senior Living community continuum of care


• Following Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies and procedures and ensure departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance, and other requirements as defined in the respective regulations.


• Implementing residents' personal care plans, focusing on residents' strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.


• Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.

What you will need

• Current State of Maryland license in Physical Therapy


• Minimum 1 year's experience in working with the older adult population related to the therapies is preferred


• Current CPR Certification
