Job summary

Bethany Children seeks a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant to support pediatric patients in a PMRU setting under licensed PT supervision. You will implement plans of care, promote functional mobility and participation in daily activities, and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to reach individualized rehabilitation goals.

Education includes graduation from an accredited PTA program with Oklahoma licensure or temporary license eligibility; pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA program completed.
• Oklahoma PTA license or eligibility for temporary license within 3–6 months.
• Preferred pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized treatment procedures to maximize child’s performance (50%).
• Collaborates with care team and maintains timely, accurate documentation (20%).
• Identifies needs and fabricates appropriate therapeutic equipment as indicated (15%).
• Participates in staff trainings, student observations, and family training (10%).
• Other duties as assigned (5%).

Job description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to pediatric patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA implements established plans of care, facilitates the development of functional mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and motor skills, and supports participation in daily activities to promote independence, safety, and quality of life.
