Job summary

VALIR PACE LLC seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support evaluation, planning and implementation of treatment under a licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver goal-oriented, activity-based therapy to improve independence in mobility for frail elderly participants.

Under supervision, you will educate participants and families, and provide adaptive methods and equipment to enhance performance and safety in daily activities, contributing to ongoing rehabilitation goals

Qualifications

• Current Licensed PTA.
• Current CPR Certification.
• At least one year experience working with the frail elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Assist in participant evaluation, treatment planning and implementation under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide goal directed, activity oriented treatment to promote independence in mobility and functional performance.

About the Role

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (pursuant to the laws of the state), the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists in participant evaluation, treatment planning and implementation. The PTA will provide goal directed, activity oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in mobility, motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. Ensure continuation of performance through effective education of the participant, family or support system. Provide adaptive methods and equipment as appropriate to enhance performance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience:

• Current Licensed PTA
• Current CPR Certification
• At least one year experience working with the frail elderly population
